Prices

STARTING POINT

• In both pricing and prices, I'm radically different to any conventional practising lawyer. 

• I won't charge anything at all if I've managed to solve your issue really quickly. If that embarrasses you, you can pay me a token amount of your choice. Up to you.

• If there's work to be done, I charge a fixed fee. I'm not available to have my brains picked over time without being hired.

• The fee is fixed for a particular piece of work or assignment, whatever it involves and however long it takes. 

• The fee is guaranteed to be a fraction of what an unnecessary lawyer will charge you.

• The fee includes all data, drafting, modelling, support, strategising, consulting and other services appropriate to the assignment.

• No hidden extras. No extra charges. No unpleasant surprises. No expenses of any kind not expressly costed and agreed in writing in advance.

MORE ABOUT THAT FIXED FEE

• Every fixed fee is:-

  • personalised and customised 

  • founded on your express assurance that you have given me all relevant data. Without those data, I can't help you. Without that assurance, I won't sign up. If that assurance turns out to have been deliberately false, of course I'll quit instantly

  • discussed and agreed in advance of my starting work

  • designed to cover all my input.

• I never revisit or revise any fee. No afterthoughts. After we have agreed it, you will never get another bill from me for that assignment.

• If my fee is a proper business expense for you, it might be properly tax-deductible. Check with your accountant.

• If you're in a dispute with someone, we'll add my fee to the amount you want to recover from the other side. Why be out of pocket when asserting your rights?

I NEVER CHARGE

• by the hour: no increments, timesheets, bill narratives, phony 'discounts', 'uplift', weighing the file or any other lawyer nonsense

• contingency fees 

• conditional fees

• 'no win, no fee' fees

• success fees

• fees linked directly or indirectly to the cost, price or value of any assignment or any other feature including (for example) the number of people involved (if that be irrelevant to the work)

• according to your budget. Your budget for professional fees is of no interest to me. I will never ask you to tell me about it. (You should never disclose any budget to any service provider. It is none of his business.)

RETAINERS

A retainer is appropriate where a continuing relationship is appropriate for a continuing situation, issue or problem. A retainer can be for a few weeks to a number of months, usually configured in easy stages. Always a fixed fee, this arrangement is designed to be cost-effective. Prices depend on the situation.

ALL ASSIGNMENTS

• I'm on hand and on call for you, without any limit of time on my side, until the assignment has been completed.

• I monitor, evaluate and value for you, in real time, the gross and net cost of my work per pertinent point, issue, segment, stage and holistically. 

• We check and keep checking exactly what you're getting, and likely to get, for your money.

HOW TO PAY

• Every fixed fee is payable in full in advance.

• I bill in euros or GBP.

• You can pay by:-
